Cartography and literature platform from and about the Caribbean.

Supporting education and innovation.

Visiones del Caribe is a group workshops aimed at K-12 students seeking to explore the multiple meanings of the Caribbean through literary materials (travel diaries, stories, poetry, etc.) and cartographic materials (maps, atlases, itineraries, etc.). In each workshop, topics developed will allow students to learn about the history, literature and geography of the Caribbean basin.

Visiones del Caribe's main objective is to offer educational materials to young students so that they can learn about and reflect on the Caribbean as a complex geographic and cultural space, defined by the different communities that inhabit and transit it.

Using GIS to introduce primary sources allows students to spatially analyze the connections, meanings, and complex relationships of the cultures, histories, and identities of the Caribbean.
